Recent theatre designs include Hardboiled (nominated for an Off West End Award), David Copperfield and Writer’s Block (Watermill Theatre), IdiotSyncracy (Bilbao), Shield (Ovalhouse London), Tame Game and City (Bloom Dance international tours).

As an Associate for Cameron Mackintosh, Les Misérables (Singapore, Manila, Seoul and Daegu) Other associate roles include Man of La Mancha (São Paulo) Twelve Angry Men (Birmingham Rep and West End). As an assistant he has worked on over forty theatre productions including Barnum, Funny Girl, Chaplin The Musical, Miss Saigon, Noises Off and Oliver!

Outside theatre David has designed a coffee shop within a Wren church in the City of London, and the restaurant Deli Ohio in Canton Ohio.  

David trained at Wimbledon School of Art London where he now teaches on the BA Theatre Design course.
